 Boy, 3, found hanging from tree Mon Jan 28 2002 13:03:26 ET Horror and shock after a 3-year-old suburban St. Louis boy has died after apparently accidentally hanging himself from a tree! MORE A playmate found Cody Miller Sunday in the backyard of his home in St. Peters, about 30 miles west of St. Louis. Cody's grandfather cut the rope and administered CPR, but the child was pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital. "How do you put words to this?" St. Peters police Sgt. Dave Kuppler said. "I don't think you can." An autopsy was planned, but police believe the boy accidentally hanged himself while playing in the tree. Police say the rope had been placed in the tree for children to use as a swing, say press reports. END |
