PRESIDENT BRADY? NFL STAR DREAMS OF BEING IN WASHINGTON; DIGS BUSH
**Exclusive**
His fancy moves on the playing field keep his opponents guessing. And now, political Washington is intrigued by NFL star Tom Brady's apparent interest in public service. But is he a republican -- or a democrat? Or is he taking a cue from the Dick Morris playbook: of triangulation?
WASHINGTON -- This year's Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady told associates on Tuesday at the White House that he is a big fan of President Bush -- and one day he wants to run for office!
"I dig him, like his politics...style," the star quarterback of the New England Patriots said during a Rose Garden ceremony honoring the 2001 NFL Champions.
"What a place this is!" Brady, in awe, said during a tour of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, according to sources.
"His teammates were joking that he might be living in the White House one day," said an insider. "'President Brady!' they teased."
Brady has told family and friends that he has dreams of being a U.S. senator.
The San Mateo, California native has not publicly revealed any political ambition or political affiliation.
"The way he was talking, I'd say he's definitely a republican," observed a Bush source.
"He is a moderate democrat," a close friend of Brady's countered on Wednesday.
Playing both sides against the center, Brady has agreed to headline a fund-raiser for
Senator John F. Kerry [D-MA] on June 21.
