XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN MAY 05 2002 17:08:19 ET XXXXX LYNNE CHENEY: EMBARRASSMENT OVER OZZY FUSS AT WHITE HOUSE DINNER **Exclusive** VP wife Lynne Cheney told associates she was "embarrassed" by the commotion surrounding thrash rocker/MTV star Ozzy Osbourne's appearance at this weekend White House Correspondence Dinner in Washington. "He's hardly someone we should be applauding... not a role model, I am rather embarrassed," Cheney said after the dinner, according to sources. Osbourne's presence at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night cause a complete sensation. The rocker's Tuesday show on MTV has become one of the most-watched shows on the air among teens. Cheney has been an outspoken critic of rock and rap lyrics marketed to youth. Last year Cheney took on rapper Eminem, calling his music "the most extreme example of rock lyrics used to demean women, rock lyrics used to advocate violence against women." "The thing about Ozzy is, he's made a lot of big hit recordings: "Party With the Animals," "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath," "Face in Hell," "Black Skies'' and "Bloodbath in Paradise,'' President Bush joked in his speech before the association. Osbourne lyrics include from "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath": "God knows as your dog knows; blast all of you. Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath, nothing more to do. Living just for dying, dying just for you." In the 1983 song, Bark at the Moon, Osbourne recited : "Howling in shadows Living in a lunar spell He finds his heaven Spewing from the mouth of hell."
