NBC'S "TODAY" IS THE #1 MORNING SHOW
FOR 400 WEEKS STRAIGHT

"Today" has won 400 consecutive weeks in homes and persons 2+, and 431 weeks
in rating adults 25-54
NBC's "Today" is celebrating its 400th consecutive week as America's number
one morning show. And, during this landmark week "Today" once again
triumphed over the competition with a whopping 1.6 million lead over GMA.
During the week of August 4 - 10, "Today" attracted 5.3 million viewers, and
either outperformed or tied the combined delivery of GMA and CBS among
rating women/men/adults 18-49.
For the week of August 4 - 10, "Today" had a 4.4 household rating/18 share
and 5.3 million viewers. "GMA" remained in second with a 3.1/13 and 3.7
million viewers. CBS' "The Early Show" finished third with a 2.1/8 and 2.6
million viewers. Season-to-date "Today" is outperforming GMA by 1.36
million viewers.
The week also saw "Today's" largest margin of victory over GMA in total
viewers since the week of 5/13/03. For the week, GMA had its lowest
viewership in nearly two years. Versus the same week last season, "Today"
was up in women/men/adults 25-54 (+3 percent/+13 percent/+4 percent).
"Today II" finished with a 2.9/11 and 3.4 million viewers. Season-to-date
versus last season "Today II" is up in homes (+3 percent), total viewers (+3
percent), women 18-49 (+7 percent), and adults 25-54 (+7 percent). Once
again it outperformed "The Early Show" across the board in homes, total
viewers and all key demos for the week.
