 Dean staffer 'grabbed'' at Gephardt event Wed Oct 29 2003 10:17:54 ET Managers of Howard Dean's campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination have complained to rival Dick Gephardt's aides about an episode in which a Dean staffer was shoved and insulted at a Gephardt campaign event. ``I urge you to find the staff member responsible and fire him, and send a strong signal to the rest of your staff that behavior of this kind will not be tolerated,'' Dean campaign manager Joe Trippi said in a letter sent late Tuesday to Gephardt campaign manager Steve Murphy. Trippi said a Dean campaign staffer attended a Gephardt event in Des Moines on Tuesday and was ``pushed and grabbed'' and subjected to verbal abuse by Gephardt staffers. ``This behavior from a campaign staff member is beyond the pale,'' Trippi wrote.
