Of the last three network sit-downs with President Bush, Diane Sawyer�s interview was the most watched, according to the preliminary national ratings released today. ABC News� Primetime� special edition, "President George W. Bush: The Interview," drew an average audience of 11.01 million viewers and a 3.3 rating among Adults 18-49, topping NBC�s and CBS�s most recent presidential interviews.
Sawyer�s interview with President Bush, the first since the capture of Saddam Hussein, topped the most recent network interviews � Scott Pelley�s 9/11 anniversary interview on �60 Minutes II� (9/11/02) and Tom Brokaw�s post-Iraq war sit-down on �Dateline� (4/25/03) -- among both Total Viewers and the coveted Adults 18-49 demo. Of note, the air date of the Sawyer interview was moved up by two days in light of the breaking news of Hussein�s capture.
