The new fall schedule will not be announced until later this month, but the DRUDGE REPORT has learned that ABC has picked up COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, a drama following the challenges facing the first female President of the United States. MORE ABC suits are are prepared to give the project a timeslot and series commitment, sources said. Actress Geena Davis, a Democrat political activist, will play the president. ABC executives "adored" the two-hour pilot of CHIEF. MORE "It's not in your face, preaching politics," a network source explained. "Not that we will shy away from controversy, but do not look for, say, abortion to be in the opening episodes." A Hillary Clinton walk-on? "I am not going to go there," laughed the insider.
