BLAIR SPENDS $3,000 ON MAKE-UP Sat Jul 23 2005 18:24:42 ET British Prime Minister Tony Blair has spent more than $3,000 of taxpayers' money on make-up and make-up artists over the past six years, it has emerged. The figures were slipped out in a Parliamentary written answer on Thursday - the final day before MPs and peers broke for the summer as London was gripped by the latest attempted terror attacks. It revealed that between 1999-2000 and 2004-05, Downing Street paid out �1,050.22 for cosmetics for the Prime Minister's media appearances. No figures were available before that date. And in the past two years, No 10 shelled out a further �791.20 on make-up artists. The details were revealed by the Government whip, Lord Bassam of Brighton. |
