PAPER: British police make link between two sets of London bombers

British police have established a link between suicide bombers who killed 52 people in London on July 7 and four other men who attempted a similar attack two weeks later, a report said Saturday.
The connection is centred around a whitewater rafting trip in Wales attended by two of the July 7 bombers shortly before their attack, The Observer newspaper said.
Earlier this week, photographs were published in the British press showing two of the suicide bombers, Mohammad Sidique Khan and Shahzad Tanweer, rafting at Canolfan Tryweryn in north Wales.
It was now understood that intelligence received by police had established a possible link between that trip and those responsible for a replica attack on Thursday, in which no one was hurt after the bombs seemingly failed to go off properly, the report said.
According to The Observer, police believe some of Thursday's bombers might also have been on the trip, raising the possibility that the attacks were planned jointly.
The link was uncovered through addresses discovered in rucksack-carried bombs abandoned on Thursday, the paper added.
